Our Story
Designed with Love in Austin Texas
It began in a small factory started by my Grandfather in Austin TX. I spent a large part of my boyhood in that factory where three generations worked together to make classic hand made leather moccasins. Over the years the company has been passed from grandfather to father to son and daughter. The company is still run out of Austin, but we no longer have that factory. Today we have a legacy to continue and a dream to fulfill to create a new modern aesthetic giving these classics a new twist. Without the support of family we could not have done this. So you see it is our family of five that inspired the name Five Tribe. Today our creative team at Five Tribe is making a new category of footwear, reinterpreting and remixing time tested designs with luxury detailing, fashion and comfort. Influenced by current and vintage trends and combining them with high impact bottoms and all leather uppers, creating a look and feel of undeniable appeal and longevity.

We are ethically made in solid transparent factories with no child labor and fair worker wages. Our designs are versatile and extremely comfortable. They are styled to be on trend but never trendy and never sacrifice comfort. An all-leather product inside and out that is breathable and the more you wear them the more comfortable they become.
Our Comfort
Our insoles are latex foam that mold to your feet, some even have removable footbeds and are perfect for anyone who spends time on their feet. Flexible rubber soles built for optimum shock absorption are on all styles even the flatforms.
